United Way of York Region

One decision. One donation. Supporting United Way of York Region is an effective and efficient way to support a wide range of programs with one single donation. A donation to our Community Fund addresses five priority areas:

• Affordable Housing and Homelessness;
• Domestic Violence and Abuse;
• Literacy;
• Mental Health; and
• Newcomers and Immigrants.

Your gift can be made by mail, on-line, or by telephone (905) 474-9974 (Ellen ext. 242). Cheques and credit card payments are accepted.

Monthly Giving Program

Making a small donation each month can be less burdensome on your budget. Your donation can be made by (1) preauthorized credit card payments, (2) post dated cheques, or (3) automatic withdrawals from your bank account. You can change or cancel your donation by writing to us at any time.

Major Individual Gifts

Leadership Giving

Our Leadership Giving Program recognizes people who make annual donations over $1,000. You are recognized in the Leadership Giving Report and are invited to attend an annual Leadership Giving Breakfast in June. Planned Giving

Planned Giving allows you to realize your philanthropic objectives as well as receive substantial tax and estate planning benefits. There are a number of options including gifts of: cash, publicly listed securities, life insurance, retirement plan accumulations, and bequests by Will. In-Memoriam Gifts

A Memorial Donation to United Way of York Region is a wonderful way of paying tribute to the memory of a special person in your life. Tribute Gifts

Tribute Gifts honour someone special on your behalf. Celebrate a special occasion such as a birth, anniversary, promotion, retirement or birthday or a special thank-you.
